Thread: Linking two or more contacts

In People, you may have two or more versions of the same contact. This is usually because you have contact information for that person on different social networks or email accounts (for example, Windows Live and Facebook).

Windows Phone has a solution: linking. You can link multiple contacts so all their information is displayed in one contact card. In most cases, your phone will do this automatically. For the rest, you can link them manually.
To link two or more contacts

  From Start, press People , flick to All and press the contact you want to link.

  Press Link .

  Any contact that is already linked will appear under Linked profiles. If you see the contact you want to link under Suggested links, press it. If you can't see the contact you want to link, press Choose a contact to find the right one.
  To unlink a contact, press that contact under Linked profiles and then press Unlink.

  Linking contacts doesn't copy or delete any contact information from its source. For example, your Twitter information won't be copied to your Exchange account or vice versa.

  When you link two or more contact cards that have different profile pictures or names, you can choose which picture and name will represent the contact. To learn how to do this, see Adding a picture to a contact.

Pictures taken with the camera appear to randomly display on the pictures live tile, which is great for my vacation and new baby pics, but I've also taken renovation photos and I don't want pics of the broken toilet appearing on the live tile. Any way to stop that without deleting them?

There is another Live Tile that can take you straight to your favorite photos. From within the pictures hub, you can do one of two things. Select your favorite photos that you’ve taken with the phone from the camera roll section, or browse your friends’ social network sites and save them to your phone, then save them to favorites. This tile can be placed on the front screen, for instant viewing.
