Windows 7 Laptop will not recognize my HTC HD7?
When I try to connect my HTC HD7 to my Asus laptop with Windows 7, the laptop will not recognize my phone. It's not showing up in Zune either. My phone says it's connected, but the laptop won't recognize it. What's the deal?

Make sure Zune software is installed and open/running.Go into to Device Manager.Right click the Unknown Device - this is your HD7.Click Update DriverClick Browse my computer for driver softwareClick Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computerClick NextClick Microsoft in the left column listClick Windows Phone 7 in the right column listFinish the wizard and you're done. Zune should now see your HD7.

for android phones:SDK tools, its rather hefty at 107+ megs last I checked but thats the native controller to install on the computer to access the phone. In some cases you will also need to install the actual drivers for the specific phone onto your computer to get it to work properly, my LG Optimus V was one of those cases.for windows version all you need to do is install the ZUNE software, UPDATE IT and then restart the computer, if you have ANDROID then the link below should be pretty close.http://developer.android.com/sdk/tools-notes.html
