Thread: Cell phone frozen, need help?

My wp7 HTC Surround freezes on the stratup screen (when it says HTC) and it will just stay like that until it dies. I have preformed many soft resets, restored it to factory default, and charging it on different chargers. When I plug it into the computer, Zune does not recognize it, however it still charges, but remains on the HTC screen. What the hell is the problem? I was thinking it could be the battery, or possibly sand damage (unlikely as it did not have that much sand in it and it was working up until a week ago, and I haven't been to the beach since summer) This just started happening for no reason and I really need my phone to be working by next week.Yeah I have taken out the battery, hard reset it, cleaned the inside, and anything else I could have thought of.

have you tried taking out the battery? If not give it a try!

That just happened to me yesterday. Take it to your carrier for a hard reset and maybe that will fix the problem. Sprint was able to do this and fix my phone. (Bad part: I lost my numbers)
