I have a new Nokia Lumia 800 phone with Windows 7.5. I tried to activate Outlook but made a mistake in entering server details. I now have a useless outlook icon which when clicked offers me a message saying it can't connect to my server but will keep trying. I have now decided I don't need Outlook on my phone anyway, but can't find any way to uninstall/delete it. I would appreciate a simple solution

The only bluetooth profiles that are supported by the windows phone OS are audio profiles. So the only bluetooth devices you can connect and use with your phone are headset and other audio related devices (I have recently started using a bluetooth enabled landline cordless phone in my house which can be connected to my windows phone and used to make and receive calls from my cellphone through my landline).

So, given this constraint, you cannot use bluetooth to perform such commonly used function as transferring any files (pictures, office files, vcards, etc) from the phone to any other device. This includes another computer or another phone; or to connect to and use a bluetooth keyboard with the phone. (Two frequently requested items for windows phone)

If I buy a phone not officially sold US yet, can I use it?

Windows Phone does not yet do file transfer over Bluetooth.

This isn't a Nokia issue - I'm having the same issue with an HTC phone using Windows Phone 7.5.
The phone region is set to UK.
Prior to the update to 7.5, this was working.
I use Channel 13 to avoid interference for my other devices due to living in a heavily populated area.
I have had to change channels on my router with the result that all other connectivity is now suffering (Sky TV via XBox is suffering and general connectivity to PC's is poor).

It would be nice to see that this is a simple setting that can be changed rather than an assumption on the part of the programmers that the whole world only uses 11 channels for wireless.

Any help appreciated as this only seems to be an issue on Windows Phone 7.5, Android on HTC, Maemo on n900 and Apple products all happily support the use of channel 13 wifi.

Is it possible to jail break windows phone like iphone?

Just to be sure, under settings and region+language, what is your region and system locale set too? I'd be sure it is set to UK and not US.

If it is set to UK and you're still experiencing this issue, I'd check with Nokia Support to see if this is a limitation of the device's hardware or if perhaps you purchased a device meant for the US and not the UK. They should be able to tell from the device's serial number and/or IMEI number.

Nice design, nice size and weight. This is my first smart phone and I've found it easy to navigate and do the main tasks. It has a nice clear screen. I was worried about using the on-screen keyboard for texting but I've found it quite easy.

Bad points:

There aren't many setting for you to customise how you want the phone to work. It has a little light behind the speaker which lights up when you're charging the phone but it doesn't light up when you have a message and you can't change this, and it doesn't vibrate at intervals after a message if you haven't looked at it so you have to keep turning your phone on to check which is a bit of a pain.
